Reminiscences, 1820-1831.

Book of reminiscences kept in diary form by John G. Locke, son of U.S. Congressman John Locke, recounting events in his life from 1820-25 and 1829-31. Locke notes his various jobs, including bookkeeper, store clerk at several locations, and teacher for a short time in the Cornhill section of Boston; his changes in residence as a boarder; and his marriage to Ermina Starkweather in 1829. Among the locations discussed are various towns in Mass., including Ashby, Boston, Northampton, Worthington, and Billerica, and Buffalo, N.Y.
